DEFEAT RIVER BREWERY PRELIMINARY DESIGN

Adaptive Re-use from Tenant Space to a Craft Brewery Facility
Reedsport, Oregon

The design parameters of this project included converting an existing vacant tenant space, approximately 2,200 sq. ft., into a craft brewery facility. Production and storage of beer, service area, dishwashing, delivery area, retail space, bar area, restrooms (2), and other related spaces were included as needed. Exterior remodel was not included at the time, but was considered for future master planning effort. There was a conscious effort to design the interiors with a “modern rustic” that was also unique to the locale. Wood and metal siding had been collected to be incorporated into the interior design. It was very important that the interior space be well designed and well thought out, including the restrooms.
