Schools Master Planning

HGE performed an exhaustive study of structural, maintenance, and site improvement needs for Coos Bay Schools. This bond measure met with success in 1998 and many of the issues were addressed. The $10 million bond provided upgrades to roofs, handicapped accessibility upgrades, and new structures throughout the District. Construction for the $6 million science and math building at Marshfield High School was completed in 2000. HGE performed the construction contract administration in a joint venture with LRS Architects from Portland.

HGE was selected to review the Rogue River School District’s existing facilities and noted, identified and addressed several facility components, including site access, roofing, ADA compliance, and seismic resistive construction.

HGE was chosen by the School District to perform Bond Measure pre-design and planning services in preparation for a 2016 bond measure to upgrade School District facilities. Our work included an updated needs assessment, education specifications, building program, several design options for consideration and discussion, and a final unified concept design for all campuses that the District and community can embrace and feel a part of. Cost estimating services was also included.

HGE was selected to perform District-wide facilities assessment study, develop cost estimates, refine and provide additional investigation as requested, and prepare master plan building design concepts for Myrtle Creek, South Umpqua High School, Tri City Elementary, and Canyonville Schools.
